What does Enchanted Gardens Design do? (And what I don’t do!)

🌿 I design gardens. I create expert planting and layout plans to help you transform your outdoor space into something stunning, functional, and unique.

I don’t:
❌ Dig trenches, clear overgrown gardens, or do general landscaping.
❌ Lay paving, decking, or install fencing.
❌ Handle drainage systems, soakaways, or structural work.

❌ Supply plants or materials.

❌ Project-manage your build.

❌ Design purely hard-landscaped gardens.

❌ Work with very overgrown or heavily established gardens.

❌Guarantee plants will thrive.

❌Copy Pinterest or other designers’ gardens.

 

Specifically, I provide:

• Plant-led garden designs that are built around soil, light, roots and long-term growth — not just how things look on day one.

• Clear, detailed plans that show what to plant, where to plant it, and how the garden should be put together.

• Thoughtful planting schemes using trees, shrubs, grasses and perennials that give structure, seasonal interest and a sense of calm.

• Working drawings and layouts that your contractor (or you) can follow with confidence.

• 3D previews and hand-drawn plans so you can see the design before anything is built.

• Honest, site-specific advice on how your soil should be prepared and how the garden should be set up for long-term success.

• Guidance during implementation, so the design is carried out the way it was intended.

• I take responsibility for the thinking, planning and creative direction of your garden — so that when the physical work begins, it’s clear, efficient and grounded in a design that truly works.

• I can recommend trusted professionals for the work if needed. My role is to ensure your garden is designed beautifully and thoughtfully—not to carry out physical landscaping tasks.

Can I ask for unlimited changes?

Designs include a set number of revisions. Additional changes or consultations are available at an hourly rate.

I’m especially drawn to woodland-inspired planting — ferns, shade-loving grasses and layered greenery — but the same plant-led approach also works beautifully in more modern or contemporary spaces.

NOTE: Part of my role is to help protect you from costly or risky decisions. If a request could cause drainage issues, boundary problems or structural concerns, I’ll explain why and suggest safer alternatives.

Who will build my garden?
I design your garden, but I don’t build it myself. Here’s how it works:

Either way, you’ll have detailed design plans to ensure your garden is built exactly as envisioned.
