Our original, unique bookmarks are made entirely by hand - shaped and carved from special board, painted using different media (acrylics, watercolours, markers, pencils) and decorated. Finally, they are sealed with multiple layers of varnish that protects them.

 

Bookmarks all measure approximately 20.8 x 6cm (8.3 x 2.7 inches) and are very durable and hardwearing - just don't stand or sit on them!

Please note that as these are handmade, imperfections may occur during the creative process. As different board is available at different times, bookmarks may differ in thickness one from the other. You may receive a bookmark that is curved - this occurs naturally when the moisture in the medium warps layers in the board. The bookmark will "relax" and become straight when placed in a book.

If you have a special commission in mind, please email us to discuss your needs. A special commission costs £20 for simple paint finishes, and can include two initials on the back. Genuine gold leaf can cost more. As all our bookmarks take time to create, please don't expect to receive them quickly - it can take up to three weeks to paint and varnish a bookmark. This excludes mailing time.
